I would not say that you have too but you would see a performance gain as well as MPG increase. It far too long a procedure to do here. You DO NOT adjust the throttle cable to set idle speed or anything related to it. It is a throttle cable adjustment only, again, that is covered in the manual. Mjreynolds928. Thanks. I changed the plugs and filters and put clean fuel with SeaFoam. I did the VRO bypass and mixed oil in with fuel. The boat ran better but somewhere between 2000-3000 rpm the motor shakes a little as if it’s struggling. Anywhere before and after that range it purrs like a kitten.Jun 8, 2011. #6.
